Logo Design: Stand to Serve Podcast
Stand to Serve is a podcast highlighting inspiring entrepreneurs that are standing up to serve the market or their community in a creative way. Emily, the founder and host, was looking for a simple and clean design that attracts people of all ages, backgrounds and walks of life to listen and be inspired by others in their community. The bright and inviting design aesthetic features lemons as the metaphorical "mascot" of the podcast, from lemonade stand beginnings to what to do when life hands you lemons.
Genuine, inspiring, creative, inviting, fun
Emily's podcast album art design is a variation of her logo design. Using the same hand-lettered type style as well as the lemon motif, we created a more artistic layout of her logo that also features her name. Our goal was to create an eye-catching visual that would stand out in the iTunes store.
In Season 2 of Stand to Serve, Emily is shifting her message slightly. She said to me:
“Season 2 of this podcast is about the people that stand up to serve in the bravest, scariest way possible - by being the person they were meant to be no matter what. It’s vulnerable to accept that challenge, to take a stand to fill the role you were meant to step into. But it’s also the most beautiful way to serve the world we live in, and those are the stories I want to hear.”
Taking that into consideration, I wanted to create album art for this new season that highlighted her sense of true creative self, the excitement of the unknown, and the beauty of coloring outside the lines career-wise.
